About Insights Counseling Center

Insights Counseling Center is a group psychotherapy and counseling practice in New Jersey with two offices, in Woodbridge and Westfield, offering in-person and telehealth care for individuals, couples, families, and children. The practice also provides a full range of psychological and neuropsychological testing and evaluations.

Services

Individual therapy for anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions; couples and marriage counseling; family therapy; child and adolescent therapy, including play therapy; and group therapy. The team practices Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and works with substance abuse, grief and loss, trauma, and self-esteem. Psychiatric evaluation and medication management, along with ADHD and OCD coaching, are also available.

Testing and evaluation

The practice offers psychological and diagnostic evaluations, neuropsychological testing, cognitive and intelligence (IQ) testing, psycho-educational testing, ADHD evaluations, and projective and personality testing. It also provides disability, SSDI, and SSI evaluations, as well as employment psychosocial evaluations. Testing is available at both offices.

A group of licensed clinicians (LCSWs, LSWs, and licensed counselors) led by Executive Director Lisa Tortorello-Gilligan, LCSW; Clinical Director Janet Kline, LCSW; and Administrative Director Joe Gilligan, LSW.
